TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY SELECTS ANC TO CREATE NEW UNITED SUPERMARKETS ARENA EXPERIENCE
The new center-hung scoreboard will feature four video displays, each measuring 16.38′ high by 25.20′ wide.
Lubbock, Texas – Texas Tech University and ANC today announced plans for a new center-hung display for United Supermarkets Arena, home of the Red Raiders men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams.
The new center-hung structure will include four video displays, each measuring 16.38′ high by 25.20′ wide. Underneath the primary screens will hang a uniquely shaped LED ring. The custom lower display features a continuous ring featuring four separate hanging trapezoid shaped sections which can be driven all as one screen or segmented into single images.
“Partnering with ANC, we will bring a new dynamic experience to our students, alumni and fans,” said Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt. “These improvements will strengthen Texas Tech’s commitment to offering the best game day environment in the NCAA.”
As part of ANC’s sourcing partnership with Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.’s Diamond Vision System Division, the center-hung video displays will utilize their award winning XL Series featuring Real Black® technology to provide Texas Tech fans with the sharpest visuals in collegiate athletics. The new center-hung will be driven by ANC’s vSOFT™, which will also control the existing LED displays in United Supermarkets Arena to create an immersive experience.
“We are excited to add Texas Tech University to our growing NCAA partner list,” said Jerome Cifarelli, President & Chief Executive Officer, ANC. “Integrating industry-leading LED technology with our award-winning vSOFT operating system puts Texas Tech University at the forefront of digital signage, offering fans an unparalleled experience.”
The ANC and Texas Tech partnership extends past the installation with ANC providing onsite service to maintain and operate the display system during live events. ANC’s creative services team will create the content for the displays, including sponsor graphics, team animations and statistical layouts.[/text]
