AV DESIGN AND CONSULTING
LED DISPLAY SYSTEMS
AJP has designed some of the most iconic LED displays in sports today. Working closely with our clients to identify product and application options for all types of facilities. We evaluate tangible and intangible critical factors, including component grade, performance standards, service, maintenance, warranty, processing and controls. Our designs outline structural, electrical and rigging requirements, ventilation, viewing angles, sightline and obstructions and infrastructure requirements. Balancing AV standards, revenue opportunities, branding and sponsorship. Takes all this into account and then adds a dynamic approach to finishes, signage, branding and custom sign requirements, unique building characteristics – to create a unique, one-of-a-kind design for your facility.
BROADCAST TV / VIDEO REPLAY
Design and Engineering
AJP provides integration solutions that include broadcast and replay hardware, image processing technology, control software, data integration, nearline and offline archiving and content creation, ensuring each system design is the right fit for a particular facility or application. For existing system upgrades, we work closely with your production team to maintain existing workflow—or work to create a new workflow to maximize the metadata and synergy between the production/post-production network. From entry-level solutions to the most complex systems, AJP maintains strict control of budgets while supporting clients on acquiring and employing cutting-edge technology.
STRUCTURED AND BROADCAST CABLING
One of the biggest challenges facing our clients today involves balancing cost in relation to an aging cable plant, and optimizing the timing around replacement. Without a strategic, comprehensive approach, facilities regularly end up exposed to unnecessary and repetitive costs brought on by incomplete, Band-Aid solutions. State-of-the-art cabling systems support integrated networking, data/voice communications, audio/video, CATV and building management systems. AJP provides comprehensive cabling infrastructure design and engineering, and provides guidance on the best use of new technology and products for the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions that meet both your immediate and future objectives.
Quality stadium, arena and large public venue sound reinforcement is an essential component in the creation of the game day and entertainment experience fans crave. Whether upgrading an existing facility’s bowl sound system or designing a full sound reinforcement package for a new build, AJP uses the most current, quality, cutting-edge sound technology for maximum impact. 3D acoustic modeling provides our clients with a full understanding of system performance before any equipment is purchased or installed.
DIGITAL SIGNAGE SYSTEMS
Whether installing a single display or a global digital network, AJP provides innovative digital communications and interactive technology solutions as a core part of our services. Deploying digital signage solutions without strategic planning and analysis leads to under-utilized screens, premature upgrade and replacement and unnecessary expense. AJP provides strategic evaluation and in-depth analysis to determine project viability and opportunities for maximum return.
WI-FI / DAS
Today’s high-density Wi-Fi and DAS environment is vendor-driven. Wireless coverage solutions are characterized by unrealistic financial and performance models—followed by change-ordering to complete the project. AJP demystifies the process, working with clients to design, procure and install customized solutions. We deliver a plan of action for integration, a financial model and a bidding system designed to eliminate smokescreen.
TV DISTRIBUTION (CATV, IPTV)
Design and engineering for in-house video, satellite and cable television over a CATV or IPTV network represents a flexible and cost-effective way to engage fans and heighten experience. Design and engineering for content management and distribution systems provide operators with a central interface for full control of displays. Whether utilizing analog signal distribution or upgrading to digital, AJP evaluates requirements and outlines all options and cost scenarios available, enabling our clients to make informed choices and strategic decisions.
Presentation systems for training facilities, convention centers, meeting rooms, board rooms and classrooms range from basic to extraordinary when it comes to functionality. Regardless of system complexity, AJP pinpoints end user needs and requirements along with organizational goals to design systems that are both elegant and user-friendly, striking the balance between form and function in the process of converging AV and networking.
ARCHITECTURAL SUPPORT SERVICES
For new facility construction or upgrades, AJP reviews project plans and provides infrastructure requirements for all project phases (SD, DD, CD, bid, negotiation, construction). Project documentation includes conceptual modeling, system line diagrams, riser diagrams, as well as all MEP requirements (heat loads, power requirements, power and data locations, cable tray layouts, raceway layouts, etc.).
“We worked with them on our new stat boards, HD studios, center hung scoreboard and replay screens for the Rose Garden and they saved us many times more money than we paid them in fees. I have been in the sports and entertainment business for over 30 years, we use consultants all the time, and I have never worked with a more knowledgeable and effective company.”

FACILITY AUDITS AND BENCHMARKING
Feasibility Analysis, Sponsorship Valuations, Long-range Planning, Property Valuation
New facility construction and major venue renovations both create unique opportunities as well as special challenges when integrating video, audio and lighting technology. Ideas have to be buildable, affordable and consistent with long-range expectations. AJP works closely with clients and project architects to define expectations, review comparable projects, and to outline challenges and restrictions. Complete technology packages are provided. AJP evaluates sponsorship, naming rights and advertising inventory and allocations, building cost and revenue ROI models to pinpoint inventory valuation and the projected revenue that can contribute to project funding.
DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
AJP has Designed Some of the Most Unique and Cutting-edge LED Displays and AV Systems in Sports Today
Beyond simple renderings, AJP builds comprehensive design packages, outlining precise dimensions, structural and finish detail, attachment points, building materials, sightline surveys and signage specifications (sponsor icons, affinity branding, etc.). Our design team takes into account engineering and infrastructure challenges (structural load, hoists, etc.), broadcast requirements, project timelines, financial goals, service/maintenance and the character of the facility itself, including the surroundings that make it unique.
FINANCIAL MODELING AND ANALYSIS
Building Realistic, Intelligent and Accurate Financial Models is a Keystone to a Successful Project
AJP financial documents enable Owners to make legitimate and strategic budget determinations and design decisions in advance of the bidding process. True product and integration costs are outlined, including infrastructure expenses, internal management fees, operational costs, administration fees, bonding and tax liability, service and warranty costs. AJP financial models identify, capture and prevent vendor scope omissions and veiled expenses that lead to project delays, errors and costly change orders. In addition, we regularly work with our clients to develop facility plans that account for vital financial factors such as overall ROI, life-cycle costs and revenue generation.
AJP manages strategic sourcing, document preparation, bid tendering and contract negotiation. We qualify and quantify intangible factors, such as life-cycle cost, shifting technology applications and integration requirements (construction expertise, manpower depth, sub-contractor qualifications, availability, etc.). By clearly defining materials, finishes and construction methodology, AJP reduces bidding options and alternates to a bare minimum. This level of specification fuels a highly competitive bid process where vendor proposals are de-scoped and scrutinized, putting our clients at an advantage in getting the best pricing, product and long-term service and warranty protection available.
Following the procurement process, when chosen suppliers and integrators have been formally contracted, AJP’s role shifts to construction management and oversight. Operations are mobilized and a complete submittal package is produced (engineering, scheduling and financial milestones). AJP maintains continual oversight, coordinating sub-contractors, facility management and third-party suppliers, managing progress meetings, providing actual and ongoing cost reporting and maintaining construction documentation. We look ahead into the process, anticipating potential challenges or problems before they have a critical impact on cost or schedule. AJP ensures that vendors, suppliers and sub-contractors meet their full obligations as specified in the RFP documents and contracts.
SPONSORSHIP, BRAND AND INVENTORY DEVELOPMENT
Ownership is often unclear on the true strength of marketing rights or the actual ROI associated with advertising inventory AJP evaluates existing inventory and sponsorship programs to find opportunities for lowering costs, improving inventory and expanding revenue streams to generate significant return. We review intrinsic value related to the performance of primary tenants (teams), preferred local and regional sponsorship participation, the changing profile of venues, and the enhancements planned around general or technology-driven upgrades.
