Scope of Work: Design, Procurement, Construction Administration. As part of a continued series of technology upgrades at Rogers Centre, AJP worked closely with the Blue Jays to deliver a major redevelopment of the iconic Rogers Centre pylon—a landmark along Toronto’s skyline and the Gardiner Expressway. Located in one of the highest-visibility areas of downtown Toronto, the double-sided LED structure replaces a legacy static sign with a bold, fully digital installation. AJP provided full design, procurement, and construction administration services for the project, with SNA Displays awarded as the LED manufacturer and installer, and Atec Signs responsible for signage. The total face area is 45% larger than the original, making it a standout visual element amid constant pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Standing at about 124 feet from the base to its highest point, the new marquee features a continuous LED display surface of 158 feet. Working in collaboration with LBYD Engineers, AJP led a detailed structural review of the existing framework to support the expanded footprint, with consideration given to wind load, ice accumulation, steel tube flexure, and concrete footing gravity and flexural loading. Architectural and lighting elements significantly elevate the visual impact of the sign. RGBW lighting accents—integrated with Traxon Direct View and Wash RGBW lighting fixtures—bring the structure to life with vibrant, programmable color effects. Design Features: The technology network at Rogers Centre is massive. Learn about more recent upgrades: • Stadium LED Displays, Video Replay Control Room, Audio System • Digital Signage Upgrades
