PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

FLORIDA PANTHERS ANNOUNCE MAJOR VIDEOBOARD AND BROADCAST UPGRADES AT AMERANT BANK ARENA
New State-of-the-Art Center-Hung, LED Halo, and Broadcast Enhancements Elevate the Fan Experience

August 1, 2025 – Amerant Bank Arena, home of the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers, has undergone a major transformation this offseason with the installation of over 16,000 square feet of state-of-the-art LED displays and the completion of Phase 1 of a multi-year broadcast production system upgrade. The project, which had a limited functional release for select offseason events, will be fully operational when the Panthers take the ice for the 2025–26 season opener.

Working collaboratively with the Panthers, the project was led by long-time Technology Consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP), with ANC serving as the awarded manufacturer and integrator for the venue’s new video displays. Together, the organizations have delivered a fully immersive, high-resolution display system designed to match the excitement of Panthers hockey and elevate the in-game atmosphere for fans.

“Each year we research and implement new ways to improve and enhance our fan experience at Amerant Bank Arena and across all of our venues,” said President and CEO Matt Caldwell. “We are thrilled at what the new technology of this brand-new scoreboard will bring to our arena’s atmosphere and the exciting ways it will engage our fans. We are excited for our fans to see the fully completed scoreboard in full use on Oct. 7 for our home opener.”

The highlight of the project is a new center-hung scoreboard featuring four 4mm LED screens, each measuring 38 feet wide by 31 feet high, joined to form a 360-degree digital canvas spanning 151 feet. The scoreboard delivers a total LED area of 4,762 square feet—an increase of 3,061 square feet and a 180% larger viewing area compared to its predecessor. Pixel density has also improved dramatically, with more than 27.6 million pixels representing a 325% improvement.

Beneath the main board, two angled underbelly screens measuring 11 by 18 feet (2.5mm fine-pitch LED) ensure optimal views for fans closest to the ice. A new 75 foot diameter by 7-foot-high LED Halo is suspended above the scoreboard. With a 360-degree digital canvas spanning 258 feet, the Halo provides dynamic opportunities for sponsor content and advanced statistical displays while maintaining focus on live game action. Its size and placement ensure visibility even when the scoreboard is raised into the rafters for concerts and other events.

Additional in-bowl upgrades include 10mm LED ribbon boards encircling the arena with a continuous 360-degree fascia (1,087’W x 2.4’H), a club-level horseshoe ribbon (740’W x 2.4’H), and more than a dozen new vomitory displays strategically positioned to keep fans connected to every moment of play. Fans entering the venue will also be greeted by a pair of 4mm lobby displays (each 20.5W x 12’H). Additionally, AJP worked with the Panthers to adjust the existing speaker system around the scoreboard.

“AJP is proud of our long-standing partnership with the Florida Panthers and grateful for the trust they’ve placed in our team,” said Michael Rowe, CEO of Anthony James Partners. “It’s always a privilege to work with an organization so dedicated to delivering the best possible experience for their fans. We’re looking forward to the unveiling of the newest LED display technology from ANC, and excited to begin preparations for the next phase of improvements, which will include one of the most advanced broadcast systems in the league.”

“Amerant Bank Arena is a cornerstone of South Florida’s sports and entertainment scene, and we’re proud to partner with the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers to deliver this next-generation scoreboard and display technology upgrade to their entire arena,” said Jerry Cifarelli, Jr., CEO of ANC. “Our team is committed to delivering innovative technologies and sales strategies that help our clients realize their visions for creating unforgettable fan experiences, and we look forward to projects where we have the opportunity to align with like-minded partners such as AJP.”

Broadcast Production Enhancements
In addition to the video display upgrades, the Panthers have completed Phase 1 of a multi-year upgrade to the arena’s broadcast production system, also designed by AJP. At the heart of the new system is the Ross Tessera Content Management System, providing a robust and flexible platform for managing and delivering dynamic content throughout the arena.

BeckTV, the awarded broadcast integrator, executed the system installation and integration, ensuring a seamless transition to the new IP-native infrastructure. The upgrade empowers the Panthers with future-ready, SMPTE 2110-based media workflows designed to enhance live game broadcasts and venue-wide content delivery.
