PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Provost’s new 10mm, high-definition LED videoboard measures 76′ 6″ x 35′ 2″. With 2734 square feet of LED, the new board will be over 200% larger than the current video display’s 1277 square feet of LED, while maintaining the same structural footprint. Illuminated static signage elements include a custom-fabricated, 7-foot “LU” logo at the top of the display and sponsor naming placement at the bottom of the board. The back of the display will be cladded for a more finished look and feature an illuminated Lamar University Athletics logo.
The Montagne Center’s most notable upgrade is a new center hung scoreboard. The custom “box car” design features four high definition, 4mm convex LED video board displays (with sidelines measuring 17′ 8″W x 8′ 9″H and endzone displays at 13′ 5″W x 8′ 9″H). In terms of pixel density, the new displays combined boast 3,182,592 pixels in comparison to the existing scoreboard’s 1,088,640 pixels – that’s a 292.35% improvement in screen resolution for clear image and finer detail. The one-of-a-kind scoreboard has illuminated venue identification and donor recognition channel-cut lettering, along with a custom fabricated, three-stage dimensional “LU” logo on the belly of the structure.
